The Department of Computer Science at the American University of Beirut (AUB) offers a program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science. A BS in computer science at AUB equips the student with a sound basis for graduate work in computer science. The students have the choice of joining our MS program in computer science, or joining a graduate computer science program in the United States and Canada. This has been the experience of hundreds of students who have graduated from our program. With specialized and well experienced faculty members, The students are guaranteed to acquire state-of-art information technology. The Departments have members conducting research in several areas that include but not limite to Object-Oriented (OO), Database Systems, Graphics Design, Mobile Computing and Networking, Operating Systems and Compiler Design.
The American University of Beirut (AUB) was founded in 1866 as a private, independent, non- sectarian institution of higher learning, functioning under a charter from the State of New York.
