The Electronic Engineering Department offers a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering. The department plays an important role in providing Jordan and the region with qualified electronic engineers. Electronic Engineering department offers course work that focuses on both the theoretical and practical aspects of electronic engineering with significant focus on fundamental concepts of engineering mathematics, physical sciences, microelectronics, digital and analog electronic circuits, electronic systems, integrated circuits and medical electronics.
The Department established relationships with a number of ministries, academic institutions, and industrial companies in Jordan to fund research projects and to place and train students in their facilities.
The 615 students in the department are led by 11 highly qualified faculty members. They have published hundreds of scholarly papers in electronic engineering journals including microelectronics, medical electronics, image processing, digital signal processing, solid-state electronics and optoelectronics.
